Our friend & photographer, Chris Tubbs, has been an integral part of our lives & our studio for the past 25 years.
We wanted to take a moment in today’s journal to highlight the immense support, collaboration & friendship he has provided us over the years. We couldn’t have achieved what we have without him; most of the projects showcased on our website have been expertly photographed by Chris.
Jason first met Chris in 2001 at his bar, Form, located on Greek Street in Soho, London. One day, Chris walked by & noticed some wallpaper that Jason had recently hung as part of the new design for the bar. Chris wanted to photograph it for a project he was working on, which, at that time, was still entirely analogue. Jason & Chris instantly connected, sparking a lifelong friendship.
From their first meeting, Jason found Chris to be incredibly cool, relaxed & laid-back, with a keen eye for detail. Chris was already well-established in his career, but he continued to make a name for himself, working for every major magazine & publication travelling around the world to photograph the best in interior architecture.
Chris's positivity makes collaborating with him enjoyable & effortless. Our regular road trips to shoot new projects are always a pleasure & it rarely feels like work - an ideal situation when we need to meet tight deadlines! We are looking forward to our next trip together at Mangerton House in Dorset at the beginning of May.
