In between designing our commercial & residential interior projects, we have been busy sampling a range of Studio MacLean wallpapers.

The base quality of all our wallpapers is a really lovely matt - with a slight lustre - non woven paper. If you'd like to hear more about the tech-y bit please read on...

Non-woven wallpapers are manufactured sheets of directionally or randomly orientated fibres, that are bonded together. The fibres may be manmade or natural in origin. There are different non-woven production technologies: dry-laid, spun-laid, wet-laid & other techniques but the main technology used by our wallpaper manufacturer to produce our Studio MacLean papers is wet-laid technology.

This results in a higher quality & stronger product for you. When compared to paper, non-woven wall coverings have a higher tensile strength, they are more tear-resistant particularly when wet, easier to cut, show no seam separation on the wall, are easier to install & remove from the wall & are much easier than paper to install as you always paste the wall, not the paper!

Finally, non-woven wallpapers also have a thicker hand feel than paper & appear to have a more textile like feel & appearance, which we really love.
